The legendary No.14 believes the Oranje will have to improve if they want to make an impact at the 2014 World Cup
Netherlands icon Johan Cruyff believes that Louis van Gaal's men still have plenty of work to do if they are to be successful at next year's World Cup.Oranje were held to a 2-2 draw by Estonia on Friday after winning their first six qualification games and Cruyff feels last week's disappointing result shows that Holland are not at the required level just yet.
"It's not a bad thing that Netherlands were brought back to earth against Estonia," Cruyff said in his weekly column for De Telegraaf.
"What if they had been the first European team to qualify for the World Cup and all that without spilling any points...
"That would have given the wrong idea about the strength of this team. The match against Estonia showed that there's still plenty of work to do.
"There's no risk of not qualifying for the World Cup, so there's still time to work on the weak areas. You sometimes need a result to make people realise it's not all as good as it seems."
Netherlands can book their ticket for the World Cup if they beat Andorra on Tuesday and second-placed Romania fail to beat Turkey. -------------------- goal.com
