If the Briscoe Brothers are headed to the WWE based on these rumors, that brings up a lot of questions. The biggest question surrounds Jay Briscoe, who is currently the Ring of Honor world champion. It seems like he will either drop the title at the TV tapings, at a house show, or Ring of Honor will play an angle where they strip him of the title. As one of the founding fathers of Ring of Honor (he wrestled on the very first ROH show ever), one would hope he would put someone over by dropping the title in a match, much like CM Punk did when he left.
There is also the question of what the WWE would do with the Briscoe Brothers. When they signed El Generico, they stripped him of his mask and gimmick and gave him a generic name as a regular looking wrestler. The WWE wants to control their gimmicks, so they might change the Briscoe Brothers as well.
There is also Jay Briscoe and his recent homophobic comments on Twitter, which is something the WWE might want nothing to do with.
These WWE rumors about the Briscoe Brothers might end up being for nothing as well, as the two might just be taking some time off from Ring of Honor, but have nothing planned with the WWE at all. ------------------------ examiner.com
