To dye for: Everton's Marouane Fellaini turns his trademark Afro silver to thank fans
Midfielder promised to have the madcap makeover if Toffees supporters managed to raise £25k for the club's official charity
With David Moyes succeeding Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United,
it was only a matter of time before an Everton player got the hairdryer
treatment!
But in Marouane Fellaini’s case, the hair-raising experience was for a worthy cause, as he thanked the Toffees' fans for their charitable efforts by dying his locks SILVER.
Fellaini enjoyed showing off his new look at the club’s end-of-season awards dinner on Thursday night.
But he admitted he will be forced to draw the line at keeping the silver barnet for Moyes’ final game as Everton chief at Chelsea on Sunday.
“It is for a great cause and I would like to thank the fans for raising £25,000 so far for Everton in the Community.”

promised to have the dramatic make-over – with the help of celebrity
stylist Josh Wood – if supporters reached the impressive mark of £25,000
raised for the club’s official charity, Everton in the Community, by
May 16.

they hope to raise a total of £1million, with the help of their famous

“I think it looks great, but it is only for one day, because I
don’t think the manager will like it quite as much as me,” Fellaini
joked at the threat of the hairdryer treatment in the dressing room.“It is for a great cause and I would like to thank the fans for raising £25,000 so far for Everton in the Community.”
