Manchester United's Patrice Evra is set to become the latest big name to join the Monaco revolution.
And
incoming United manager David Moyes faces competition from his old
Merseyside derby sparring partner Rafa Benitez if he tries to bring midfielder Marouane Fellaini with him from Everton.
Left-back
Evra is poised to rejoin the club he left for Old Trafford seven years
ago, with his wife said to be keen on a return to their native France.
With Moyes set to bring England's Leighton Baines with him from Everton as he reshapes the squad he'll inherit from Alex Ferguson, and Fabio Da Silva returning from a season on loan at QPR, Evra's status as first-choice left-back is under threat.
Evra joined United from Monaco for £5.5million in 2006 and has been unchallenged as their left-back ever since.
But
with the France international now 32, and with just two years left on
his current deal, Moyes may look to offload him to help fund the move
for Baines.
Mega-rich Monaco have already spent £115m on Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao and Porto midfield pair James Rodriguez and Joao Moutinho, and snapped up Real Madrid's ex-Chelsea defender Ricardo Carvalho on a free.
And they are ready to continue their lavish spending with a £10m bid for Evra - which United would be unlikely to turn down.
Backed
by the billions of Russian owner Dmitry Rybolovlev, Monaco have also
offered Liverpool defender Daniel Agger a four-year deal, and are trying
to lure Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez, Manchester United's Portugal winger Nani and Arsenal right-back Bacary Sagna.

Benitez will be given money to build a squad to challenge in
the Champions League next season, and Napoli insist star striker Edinson
Cavani will not be sold unless a club matches his £53.8m buyout clause.
Fernando Torres of Chelsea and Manchester City's Edin Dzeko are on the radar as potential replacements if Cavani does go.
