KESHI REVEALS WINNING TACTICS

KESHI REVEALS WINNING TACTICS

Super Eagles head coach,Stephen Keshi has revealed that he used the 4-3-3 formation to win his first game away in a competitive game since he succeded Samson Siasia as the Nigerian senior national team gaffer over a year ago.

Keshi and his boys beat the Harambee Stars of Kenya 1-0 to take pole position in their 2014 FIFA World Cup group and the former national team captain has revealed how he was able to defy all odds, including jet lag to put Nigeria on the path to another World Cup appearance.

“We have been playing the 4-3-3 formation and it won us the African Cup. We have perfected that with time and it was our biggest asset today (Wednesday). We wanted to sit back and study our opponents in the opening few minutes and we planned to hit in the final minutes when we increase the attacks,” notes the tactician.

On the win, Keshi was happy winning against Kenya especially in Nairobi.

“This is a tough place to win and it is not only a win that keeps us on top of the table but also gives us good morale as we head to the confederations Cup,” notes the tactician. ------------------ Complete Sports
