Eagles Off To Namibia Today

Eagles Off To Namibia Today

Players and officials of the Super Eagles are expected to depart Nairobi for Windhoek,Namibia today enroute Jo'burg  to keep a date with the Brave Warriors of Namibia on June 12 in a FIFA 2014 World Cup qualifier.

Complete Sports gathered that the need for early departure may not be unconnected with coach Stephen Keshi’s insistence on getting the team on ground in Windhoek at least six days before the encounter. Ahmed Musa's late goal left Kenya's World Cup qualification hopes crushed and put the African champions  in pole position to qualify for the third and final round of qualifiers for Brazil 2014 ahead of other group contenders.

Coach Stephen Keshi made three changes from Saturday's 2-2 friendly draw with Mexico in USA as Ahmed Musa, John Obi Mikel and goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama came in for Joseph Akpala, John Ogu and Augustine Ejide respectively. ----------------------- Complete Sports
