MOSES WANTS LAMPARD TO STAY AT CHELSEA
Posted: Apr 26, 2013
Beyond the conclusion of the campaign, it is uncertain what the future holds for Chelsea, with interim boss Rafa Benitez set to leave and a potential change in playing staff when the transfer window opens.
England international Lampard looks like he is set to leave when his contract expires in the summer but, even at the veteran age of 34, he remains a star player and has scored 14 goals for Chelsea this season.
"He has been magnificent for us this season. He has scored goals and created goals at the same time. He is a legend at the club and the players would love to see him next season."
Another change at Chelsea over the close-season is likely to be a new manager to succeed Benitez, who was brought in to replace Roberto Di Matteo in November.
Chelsea fans dream of a return of their former 'Special One', current Real Madrid boss Mourinho, after he left the club in 2007 at the end of three trophy-laden years.
But Moses, who only moved to Stamford Bridge in 2012, does not want to add to the gossip, as he said: "At the moment, there is the rumour going on that Jose Mourinho is coming back.
"He is a good manager but we are just concentrating on playing games and trying to stay in the top four and then playing in the Champions League next season." ----------- Complete Sports
