AC MILAN SET TO OPEN TALKS WITH ODUAMADI

AC MILAN SET TO OPEN TALKS WITH ODUAMADI

Italian giants AC Milan are set to open talks with in-form Super Eagles winger Nnamdi Oduamadi over a possible contract extension in the summer following his impressive display for Serie B side Varese.

Oduamadi who salvaged a point for the reigning African champions against Kenya in a World Cup qualifier in March when he scored in stoppage time of their 1-1 home draw against Kenya is in the final year of his contract with the Rossoneri and is one of the 33 players currently out loan.

"He is among the players Milans are looking at to strengthen the squad in the summer because he has been impressive with Varese since returning to full fitness," a close source revealed.

"He has since matured and Milan are not ready to let him go and so we will be discussing his future with the club in the summer," he concluded.

The former Torino star further revealed that he dreams of returning to his parent club AC Milan in the summer transfer market opens.

"When I was there, there was only Ibrahimovic and we played with two strikers. And the space to play as much as I want was not there."

"But now, with this form, who knows? I hope I am paired with El Shaarawy,'' Oduamadi was quoted as saying by Tuttomercatoweb.com.

The 22-year-old player has scored one goal in 16 appearances for Varese in the Serie B who are on the verge of qualifying for a place in the promotional play-offs. ------------------- Complete Sports
