MINISTER OUTRAGED BY CLUB OWNER’S CONDUCT
Posted: Apr 26, 2013
Nigeria Minister of Sports, Bolaji Abdullahi, has condemned the recent
conduct of club owners, accusing them of wanting to hold Nigerian
football to ransom.
Abdullahi noted that the declaration of the club owners in 'sacking' the League Management Committee was of no significance as they acted beyond their powers.
"Their action is condemnable and smacks of ignorance,” he said.
“If they had any grouse against the LMC the right place to go to should have been the NFF. But they did not go to NFF or even come to me. None of them did and they went ahead with their empty declaration,” the minister said.
