I will be a much improved bowler in CT: Junaid
Karachi: Sweating it out under the watchful eyes of former skipper Wasim Akram, talented young pacer Junaid Khan on Thursday said he will be a much improved bowler in the forthcoming ICC Champions Trophy, to be held in England."I have learnt a lot from Wasim (Akram) bhai in the bowling camp and I assure you everyone will see the difference when I bowl in the Champions Trophy," Junaid told reporters at the National Stadium.
A group of 23 pacers including Pakistan team members, Junaid, Mohammad Irfan, Wahab Riaz, Ehsan Adil, Asad Ali and Rahat Ali are presently undergoing specialised training camp with the former Pakistani great.
Left-handed pacer, Junaid said Akram had paid a lot of attention to details and was teaching them the art of death bowling.
"He has spent a lot of time with me working on making my inswinger more productive. It has a great experience to learn from a great how much you can do with the cricket ball," Junaid added.
The players in the camp today underwent a full fitness tests under the supervision of national team`s head coach, Dav Whatmore and PCB trainer, Saboor.
The fitness tests were held as the board prepares to announce the final squad for the Champions Trophy and also finalise list of players who will get central contracts for the year 2013.
Junaid said the tips he had picked up in the camp would be very useful for him in the Champions Trophy to be held in June.
"I will also try to use my previous experience of playing county cricket to good effect in the tournament. But I can promise you everyone will a more improved and lethal Junaid now," he said. -------------- ZEENEWS.com
