A leading Colombian porn company has written an open
letter to former Newcastle United and Parma forward Faustino Asprilla
appealing for him to sign a $10,640 one-week contract to work in the
industry.The 43-year-old, infamous in his native Colombia for his controversial lifestyle, has frequently made the front pages having already appeared naked in a magazine spread in 1993 and was also arrested in 2008 for allegedly firing a machine gun at security officers near his home.
Santa Latina, the Colombian adult film company, published this letter on their website:
"Dear Faustino Asprilla. "For years [we] have followed your successful career, which has made you a national icon invaluable in Colombia.
"We are convinced that the lifestyle you lead and the media controversy it causes is vital so we dared to make the following proposal.
"As you know, [Santa Latina] is an adult entertainment site, and that's why we offer you 20 million pesos for a week as a porn actor.
"This is a unique offering, which awaits your prompt response. We are convinced that with a little training you could exploit another talent all of Colombia knows you have."
The producers of the film are awaiting on a response from the 43-year old, who is currently on holiday in Italy. ------------------ goal.com
