Mikel Arteta remains confident Arsenal will reach the knockout stages of the Champions League despite Tuesday's 2-1 home defeat to Dortmund .
The Gunners looked to have weathered the storm at the Emirates when Olivier Giroud cancelled out Henrikh Mkhitaryan's opener for the German side, but Robert Lewandowski's late side ensured Jurgen Klopp's men went home with all three points.
Arteta acknowledged his disappointment in the result, but insists Arsenal remain confident of progressing.
"It's going to be tough," the midfielder told ITV. "We knew that it was probably the toughest group in the Champions League, we don't think any different now.
"We are still capable of going through but we are disappointed to lose the game.
"I think we played some really good stuff and we were unlucky to concede the goal when I thought we were playing the better football.
"We did the hardest bit to score just before half-time and I thought that we had control of the game and were creating the better chances. We just got caught on the counter-attack," he added.
"I think we gave the ball away at the edge of the box and we know they are a very good side on the counter. I think we kept them really quiet but obviously they got that chance and they scored."
Arsenal travel to Dortmund next, hoping to secure a result that will help them reach the latter stages of the competition.
