Gunners boss reckons arch-rivals proposed deal with Real Madrid makes a mockery of Financial Fair Play regulations
You're having a laugh: Wenger reckons looming Bale exit is A Bad Thing in more ways than one

Arsene Wenger has branded Gareth Bale's proposed £105million move to Real Madrid a "joke."
Arsenal manager Wenger says Real Madrid's world-record pursuit of Tottenham star Bale
will make a mockery of UEFA's Financial Fair Play regulations - the
Spanish giants look set to spend more than £150m on signings this
summer.
Mirror Sport can reveal Bale will be offered
£180,000-a-week, making him Real's second highest paid player behind
Cristiano Ronaldo, and that the club are looking for "special sponsors"
to help fund the total cost of the deal. The Gunners' Wenger said: "It makes a joke of the FFP regulations.
"I
find it amazing that in the year that FFP comes in world football has
gone completely crazy. You wonder what kind of impact and effect FFP has
on the football world. It looks like it has made everybody worse than
before."
Although the Welshman plays for Arsenal's deadliest rivals, Wenger feels Bale joining Real will be a huge loss for the Premier League.
"It's
never good to lose a big player, especially a British player," he said.
"I believe it's important that the Premier League keeps the best
players."
Real president Florentino Perez believes he will clinch
the Bale deal after fixing up a meeting with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy
in Miami - the Spaniards are on tour in the US - next week.
It is understood the final details are still being ironed out.
Real
are ready to allow winger Angel Di Maria and left-back Fabio Coentrao
to be part of the deal, if Spurs accept them, but do not want young
striker Alvaro Morata to go to White Hart Lane.
Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas is keen on Morata, but counterpart Carlo Ancelotti wants to keep him.
The Londoners also fancy Coentrao but have yet to reach an
agreement on Di Maria, who reportedly doesn't fancy moving to the
Premier League.
Bale is set to miss Tottenham's friendly in Monaco on Saturday as his future is thrashed out.
Real
have already bought midfielders Isco and Asier Illarramendi this
summer, and adding Bale will take their close-season expenditure above
£150m.
So the club have sounded out major firms to help them pay for the signings, which would appear to make a further mockery of FFP.
