Chelsea have slapped a £45million price tag on David Luiz to ward off interest from Barcelona, writes Dave Kidd of the Sunday People .
Sources in Spain claim Barca are ready to make a £30m bid for the central defender.
But Chelsea insist they are not looking to sell the 26-year-old Brazilian – despite suggestions that his flamboyant style might not fit into Jose Mourinho’s plans.
Barca coach Gerardo Martino wants his club to press forward with a bid for Luiz, a long-term target of the Catalans.
But after shelling out £48m on Neymar, they will struggle to stump up a similar fee for Luiz.
