The Nigeria Football Federation has named the former U-17 Women’s national team trainer as new gaffer of the U-20 Women’s team
Peter Dedevbo has been appointed the head coach of the Falconets, the national U-20 Women’s team by the Nigeria Football Federation.Dedevbo was an assistant coach of the first-ever under-17 women’s team, which featured at the inaugural FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup finals in New Zealand in 2008.
He was then assigned to take charge of the Flamingoes to the quarter-final of the 2010 edition staged in Trinidad and Tobago and Azerbaijan 2012.
Meanwhile, former coach of Gateway FC of Abeokuta and ex-skipper of Abiola Babes will serve as his assistant with Haruna Uche as goalkeeper trainer.
Nigeria later this month battle Burkina Faso for a place at the Fifa U-20 Women’s World Cup finals to be staged in Canada next month. ------------------ goal.com
