Manchester United defender Patrice Evra hints that he could quit club this summer for personal reasons
United defender suggests that "something personal" means that he will reject Red Devils' contract offer
Manchester United left-back Patrice Evra has hinted on French television that he is set to leave Old Trafford at the end of the season for personal reasons.
The left-back was talking to French television programme Telefoot and was asked whether or not he was concerned that his contract is due to expire at the end of the season.
"No, not at all. It is a personal thing," he said.
"It is not that Manchester United do not want me to sign a new contract. This whole thing is personal. Manchester United would like me to finish my career there, but this is something personal."
This comes after United boss David Moyes made a very public pursuit of Everton left-back Leighton Baines during the summer and also lined up a last-minute move for Real Madrid's Fabio Coentrao which fell through, causing Evra's Old Trafford future to be called into question.
