Arsenal misfit Park Chu-Young being lined up for loan move to Wigan

South Korean forward who has played a grand total of six minutes in the Premier League for the Gunners fancies a fresh start

Arsenal’s forgotten man Park Chu-Young is ready to join Wigan on loan for the rest of the year.
The South Korea international forward is set to answer an SOS from Latics boss Owen Coyle, who has seen his attacking options hit by injuries to Grant Holt and Marc-Antoine Fortune.
Chu-Young was on loan at Spain's Celta Vigo last season and remains out of Arsene Wenger’s plans for the Gunners, so is keen on a move that will put him in the shop window.
Going out on loan could also help him get his place in the national squad back in the run-up to the World Cup finals.
Coyle wants another forward to help his Championship club through a packed fixture list - although Chu-Young would be ineligible to play for Wigan in the Europa League.
Chu-Young, 28, joined the Gunners from French side Monaco in August 2011, but has only made a handful of appearances - and just one six-minute run-out as a sub in the Premier League.
Ironically, his only senior goal for Arsenal so far came against a Coyle-managed Bolton side in the 2011-12 League Cup.
