Former women's number one watches Reds' win over West Brom before admitting her allegiance to the Kop
Tennis star Caroline Wozniacki has revealed her second sporting love: Liverpool Football Club.
The Danish world number 10 was spotted at Anfield yesterday, as Brendan Rodger's side defeated West Bromwich Albion 4-1.
And Wozniacki admitted that her passion for Liverpool started after a visit to Merseyside in 2008.
"I first came to Anfield for the first time maybe five years ago, and I've been back about four more times," she revealed.
"I love all the traditions of the club and I know a few guys on the team. I love coming to watch the games. The atmosphere is just amazing."
Wozniacki last appeared at the WTA Championships in Istanbul, where she missed out on a spot in the finals due to her current world ranking.
The 23-year-old told of the honour she feels when playing in a city so close to the hearts of Liverpool supporters, following their dramatic Champions League win in 2005.
"Whenever I go back there all the great memories of that game come flooding back."
The Dane is no stranger to being at the top of her game, after leading the women's ranking system in 2010 and 2011, and believes that yesterday's hat-trick hero Luis Suarez is one of the very best players in his field at this moment in time.
"Suarez was great today. Three great goals and he's a top, top player, it was great to see him playing so well.
"As a sportswoman myself it's fun to watch someone at the top of their profession."
Asked whether she thought the Reds could continue to their title push until the end of the season, Wozniacki responded: "I hope so!"
