Mis-match of the day: Arsenal's kids only cost a quarter of Chelsea's cup squad
It's Chelsea's £130m League Cup squad versus Arsenal's £30m kids, but Wenger and Mourinho are both targeting a win
When it comes to Chelsea versus Arsenal, there is no such thing as an 'unimportant' cup game.
The history between Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho is fraught with verbal catfights and bizarre accusations from both managers.
To say they didn't get on during Mourinho's first spell in charge of Chelsea would be quite the understatement, and as we know from Mourinho's celebrations after beating Manchester City at the weekend, he doesn't do understated.
He is expected to throw together a team of young starlets and experienced stalwarts for Chelsea's League Cup clash with Arsenal, a team that is potentially worth around £138million.
But Arsene Wenger has put his faith in his youngsters, the Arsenal boss will field a side worth just less than £30million. The side will feature a handful of the players who have put Arsenal on track for the top spot this season, including Aaron Ramsey, Tomas Rosicky, and Laurent Koscielny.
But Isaac Hayden, Ryo Miyaichi and Nicklas Bendtner will also feature.
Meanwhile, 20-year-old Czech defender Tomas Kalas will feature in a Chelsea team alongside Juan Mata, Michael Essien, Mark Schwarzer and John Obi Mikel.
