The Scot wants his
side to build momentum and improve ahead of their fixtures against
Arsenal and Tottenham and believes the players still have the same
belief as last season
David Moyes insists he is content with Manchester United’s narrow victory over Stoke City - but admits he would prefer his side to win games "a bit easier" in future.United were trailing 2-1 at half-time against Mark Hughes’ men at Old Trafford on Saturday but late goals from Wayne Rooney and Chicharito secured the club’s fourth win in the Premier League this season.
"Hopefully we can continue to win games. If it’s in the same fashion then we’ll take it, but if we can make it a bit easier it will be great for the old ticker."
Moyes has urged his players to gain momentum ahead of United’s clash against Premier League leaders Arsenal on November 10 and believes the belief in the dressing room during Sir Alex Ferguson’s reign is still present.
"We need to keep winning our games and there are big games to come, so hopefully we will continue to improve as we go along," said Moyes.
"It’s the same players and we have the same spirit here. I don’t see any reason why we wouldn’t have. The players are doing everything they can to win games, and I am pleased with that." ---------------- goal.com
