Pep Guardiola denies Bayern Munich are moving for Chelsea's David Luiz
Is the Brazilian part of Jose Mourinho's plans for European Champions Chelsea? Do the other European Champions care?
Chelsea defender David Luiz IS NOT going to be heading to Bayern Munich, despite speculation linking the Brazilian with a switch to the Bundesliga from Stamford Bridge.
New Bayern boss Perp Guardiola has moved swiftly to quash any thoughts that the Champions League winners were hunting for defensive reinforcements after a 4-2 Super Cup defeat by Borussia Dortmund at the weekend.
The Chelsea future of Luiz, who travelled out to the USA today with a 25-man Blues squad for pre-season kickabouts, has been the subject of some theorising this summer, with Barcelona sniffing around.
But if he is on his way out of the Bridge, he is not on his way in to Bayern, says Pep.
Speaking at the presentation of the Audi Cup pre-season tournament in Munich, Guardiola was adamant: "He's not coming to Munich. We've got four or five central defenders.
"There is no truth to the speculation."
