The Brazil international midfielder, who was
awarded the Bronze Ball at the Confederations Cup, is set to complete a
£17 million switch to London after a short holiday
Corinthians director Roberto de Andrade has confirmed that Paulinho will complete a move to Tottenham.
"I want to give our thanks to the immense Paulinho, for all he did for Corinthians," De Andrade told a press conference as he sat next to the 24-year-old.
"He will never be forgotten by any of us. He's a great person and well deserved his [Confederations Cup Bronze Ball] award with the national team.
"Corinthians are very proud to have had a player like him on our roster. There's nothing more righteous than that he continue life with an English club and meet a new culture."
The central midfielder has five goals in 17 caps for Brazil to his name, including the late winner against Uruguay that put the Selecao through to the Confederations Cup final, which they won against Spain on Sunday. ---------------------- goal.com
