Ramon Azeez glad to receive Nigeria call up

The Almeria midfielder says he’s enthusiastic about playing any position in Stephen Keshi’s squad having experimented widely with his club so far this season
Almeria midfielder Ramon Azeez has declared his joy at being listed for Nigeria’s friendly match against Mexico in Houston on March 5.
The 21-yeaar-old is expected to make his debut for the Super Eagles three years after captaining the youth side at the Fifa U20 World Cup in Colombia.
Ahmed Musa, his team mate from that squad, has already become a key part of the senior national team.
“I’m happy that I’ve been given a chance to prove my mettle,” Azeez told Complete Sports.
“I’m comfortable playing anywhere for the Super Eagles. This season I’ve played defensive, holding and attacking roles in the midfield so I’m ready wherever the coach says I will play,” he said.
Azeez who is processing his visa with the United States embassy in Madrid is expected to join the Super Eagles in the warm up game against El Tri ahead of the World Cup.
With the competition less than four months away, Azeez will hope to fly with the Eagles to Brazil and become part of the select Nigerian duo of Chinedu Obasi and Haruna Lukman to have played in all Fifa tournaments – U17, U20 and the senior World Cup. ---------- goal.com
