Ajax defender Stefano Denswil is determined to bag the full three points in Wednesday's Champions League game against Celtic and make amends for their 2-1 away loss at Celtic Park.

The Amsterdam giants currently sit fourth in Group H with just one point from three games after defeats versus Barcelona and Celtic and a draw against AC Milan.

However, Ajax are not giving up hopes of making it to the knockout stages just yet.

"Hopefully we can make amends for our previous performances. Barcelona host Milan and have collected seven points so far. Milan are on five right now, so everything's possible again if we win," Denswil told Goal.

"We have the home advantage now and Celtic will have to make do without the support of their fans. I don't know how Celtic will play. We will have to wait and see.

"Celtic are still a good team with some strong attackers. Teemu Pukki is pretty fast and they have some great players around him.

"I think we will have to put them under pressure right from the start and keep it up for the full 90 minutes if possible. However, it's all about the three points. We have to win if we want to achieve something."

The 20-year-old Denswil has developed into an important first-team member at Ajax this season following the departure of Toby Alderweireld to Atletico Madrid during the summer transfer window. ------------------ goal.com
