Manchester United squad not scared at Old Trafford, insists Moyes

The Scot insists his side are not feeling nervous ahead of their Premier League clash with West Ham, which could potentially bring them their third successive home top-flight loss

Manchester United boss David Moyes insists there is no fear within his squad as they look to avoid a third straight league defeat at Old Trafford on Saturday.

United have not lost three successive league games at Old Trafford since 1979, with defeats to Everton and Newcastle meaning they could achieve the unwanted feat against West Ham at the weekend.

But Moyes is adamant that there are no nerves surrounding the upcoming clash and believes United fans and player alike are keen to get back to winning ways.

"The results have not been what we wanted," Moyes told reporters. "Because of that, words like nervy, vulnerability, anxious all come to mind.

"But I have never personally found that. The fans have backed the team. They know we need to play better and we need to score some more goals but it has not been for the want of trying."

Moyes also believes the festive period coming up, which sees United

"I remember the days when it was quite often two games in two days," said the Scot.

"I played in situations like that. We are complaining now because it is two in three days but we are used to playing at Christmas in our country."  ------------- goal.com
