I must do better, admits Spurs` Roberto Soldado
London: Tottenham Hotspur striker Roberto Soldado has vowed that he will prove a success at White Hart Lane after making an underwhelming start to his career in English football.

The 28-year-old Spain international signed from Valencia for a reported fee of around £26 million ($42.6 million, 31.4 million euros) in August, but he has failed to hit the heights so far.

Having scored only three times from open play in all competitions, with a further three goals coming from penalties, he admits that there is room for improvement.

Asked if he was satisfied with his goal return, Soldado told Tuesday`s edition of British newspaper The Daily Telegraph: "No. Definitely not. Much less. A lot of my goals have come from the penalty spot."

He added: "I want to score more goals than I am doing at the moment. That is why they signed me. I have been doing it all my career. I haven`t done so far here, but I am convinced I will get there."

Soldado was speaking ahead of his side`s trip to Fulham on Wednesday, when Andre Villas-Boas`s side will be looking for a first win in five Premier League matches. AFP --------------- ZEENEWS.com
