Rene Meulensteen is still uncertain on his future at Fulham.
Meulensteen has been put in charge of first team affairs, but no long term assurances have been given by the Cottagers' hierarchy.
It means former Chelsea boss Roberto Di Matteo is still watching developments at the Blues' west London neighbours.
Former Manchester United coach Meulensteen was appointed as head coach last month and then upgraded to "run first team duties" on Sunday after Martin Jol was sacked.
But Meulensteen - beaten 2-1 by Tottenham in his debut on Wednesday - is still waiting to see whether his post will be made any more permanent or if that will be judged on whether results improve.
Meulensteen is keen on the job and is already trying his best to turn things around after holding clear-the-air talks with star striker Dimitar Berbatov.
The Dutchman expects Berbatov, who he worked with at Old Trafford, to carry on playing despite his desire to leave in January.
Former England striker Darren Bent is also likely to be put on an intensive fitness programme to try to improve his sharpness.
