Steven Gerrard fears Luis Suarez could quit Liverpool in the summer
The Anfield skipper believes the Uruguayan's future at the club will depend on whether they finish in the top four
Steven Gerrard fears Luis Suarez could walk out on Liverpool in the summer.
Anfield skipper Gerrard is concerned the Uruguay star, 26, may leave at the end of the season if the Reds fail to land a Champions League spot.
Gerrard, 33, told The Sun said: "Luis is in good form.
"The team are playing well, so January won't be a problem.
"But come the summer, I think depending how Liverpool have done will determine what goes through Luis' mind.
"His goals, his performances and his form will be the key to whether we finish in the top four."
Gerrard rates Suarez, who has hit six league goals in five games, as the best player he has played with.
He said: “Yes. Simple. He’s out on his own.
“The only player who comes close to producing what Luis has done in a red shirt is Fernando Torres — but Luis just pips him.”
