David Moyes set to stick with Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic for Manchester derby
Veteran centre-backs look to set to play third game together in a week
David Moyes looks set to stick with his trusted centre-back partnership of Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand for the Manchester derby despite it being their third match in a week.
The two experienced defenders haven't played together three times in such quick succession since 2010 but Moyes is unlikely to make any changes at the heart of his defence following the wins over Crystal Palace and Bayer Leverkusen.
There are doubts over Rafael (hamstring), Danny Welbeck (knee) and Phil Jones (ankle), who all missed United's 4-2 midweek Champions League win, but Nani is available after suspension.
Provisional squad: De Gea, Lindegaard, Amos, Rafael, Fabio, Jones, Smalling, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Buttner, Valencia, Giggs, Carrick, Cleverley, Fellaini, Anderson, Kagawa, Nani, Young, Welbeck, Van Persie, Rooney, Hernandez
