The Enugu Rangers defence trojan believes that
the Super Eagles B team will conquer Africa at the African Nations
Championship billed for South Africa
Chibuzor Madu, one of the players invited to the
Super Eagles camp ahead of the African Nations Championship slated for
January is optimistic that the country will reign supreme when the
championship begins.Thirty players are vying for the honour of being the first Nigeria team to play at the competition and they have been working hard to impress coach Stephen Keshi in Abuja.
“The spirit in camp is very high and with the quality of players we have in here, we are ready to make the nation proud at the African Nations Championship. Everyone is taking the training exercise serious because we need to bring the trophy back home,” Madu told Goal.
“Nigerians should continue supporting us and they should keep the faith in the Super Eagles alive and with this, we will rule Africa again.”
The captain of the Flying Antelopes also hinted that the battle for shirts has been so spirited and promises to give his best for the country should he make the final cut.
“Everything is going on fine because we have been training very hard. The experience here has been so wonderful and everyone here is eager to make the final squad.
“As a player, you need to show yourself and prove to the technical crew on what you can do. By the grace of God, I should be able to make the final team to South Africa,” concluded Madu.
Nigeria will battle hosts South Africa, Mali as well as Mozambique in Group A when the tournament gets underway. ---------------- goal.com
