Pep Guardiola insists Manchester City will not lure Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer to the Etihad.
City have been linked with Neuer to replace fallen England No 1 Joe Hart - despite their insistence they do not want another goalkeeper - and Guardiola rubbished claims they had bid £40million for the German international.
When asked ahead of Tuesday's Champions League meeting between the two sides here in Germany if the Blues could land Neuer, Guardiola replied: “No chance.”
Hart, whose demise began with his two mistakes against Bayern in City’s 3-1 loss in October, will get a chance to atone on Tuesday when Pellegrini gives him a rare run-out in the reverse fixture.
Pellegrini wants Hart, a sub for City's last six Premier League matches, to prove he deserves his place back and has told him to focus on the future.
“For him, it’s a very important game and he must not think about the past, but think about the future,” said the City boss. “I’m absolutely sure and I trust in him.”
Here's a look at Neuer in action, City fans.
