The former Nigeria international has advised the Super Eagles technical crew not to be biased in picking players for the 2014 Fifa World CupFormer Nigeria international Jonathan Akpoborie has advised the Stephen Keshi-led technical crew to pick the best legs for the 2014 Fifa World Cup.
The Super Eagles will play Argentina, Iran and Bosnia-Herzegovina in Group F of the global football fiesta.
Akpoborie noted that Nigeria has all it takes to soar high in Brazil if the right players are picked.
“We have potentials all over Nigeria to do well at the World Cup but picking the right team that is where I question the system,” Akpoborie to Goal.
“Does the system allow us to pick players on credibility or do we bring in sentiment and when this comes to football, we lose our way. That is exactly what we do in Nigeria.
“A lot of Nigerians would always say what they want to say but they should allow Keshi to do his job. When he’s done his job well we support him and if not, he gets the boot.
“He [Keshi] won the Nations Cup, qualified the team for Brazil and he deserves the chance to prove himself that he is the right coach to lead the team to the World Cup and after that, we will see what happens,” the ex-Stuttgart attacker concluded. -------------------- goal.com
