on Monday but their coach left San Siro happy with what he witnessed
from his side
The Giallorossi led twice on the night - through Mattia Destro's 13th minute goal and a second half Kevin Strootman penalty - but were pegged back on both occasions by Cristian Zapata and Sulley Muntari.
A draw sees Roma fall five points behind leaders Juventus in Serie A, but Garcia remained upbeat after the game and pointed to the positive attitude of his players throughout.
He told reporters: "We played to win and that's how I always want to see my team. Scoring two goals at AC Milan is a good thing.
"Normally you win the game with that many chances, but there's nothing negative about earning a point in Milan.
"Juve or Napoli? We're looking neither forward nor backward. What matters is playing a great match on Sunday v Catania."
The result leaves Roma in second place on 38 points, three ahead of third-placed Napoli and five adrift of Juventus, but the Stadio Olimpico side are still unbeaten in Serie A this season - a fact not lost on Garcia.
"We know that we can hold possession in every arena, as that is our style. We are capable of going on the counterattack too, but I like to see the team do both.
“It’s a good sign that Milan sat back and allowed Roma the initiative at San Siro, as it shows they were worried and respected us. That should give even more belief to my players.
“We have been playing for five months and haven’t lost a game, so that has to mean physically the team is in good shape.” ------------------ goal.com
