JACK WILSHERE was involved in a bitter half-time tunnel bust-up with Everton’s Kevin Mirallas.
Arsenal’s England star had to be restrained after Mirallas squirted him with water.Everton went on to complete a splash and grab raid to get a point from a bruising encounter.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger said: “The referee let a lot through but we adapted well and responded well physically.
“Overall we kept a clean sheet which was a target and we wanted to score of course.”
Wilshere and Mirallas had clashed during a no-holds-barred first half.

Wilshere responded by grabbing the Everton winger round the neck.
As they moved into the tunnel, the fired-up Gunner had to be restrained by Everton skipper Phil Jagielka and Seamus Coleman.
The fast and furious action continued after the break but on the pitch this time.
Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud had three good chances to seal the points but was denied by some gritty Everton defending.
Darron Gibson, who had already received a yellow card, was fortunate to stay on the field following another clumsy challenge.
When asked if the Everton man should have got his marching orders, Wenger said: “He could have done, yes.”
Wenger added: “We had chances to win the game and that is the regret we have.
“But I’m proud of the effort we put in and the fantastic focus we showed.”

But Wenger added: “We are in a strong position. Let’s win the next game, we can only take care of our results.
“If we can keep the fighting spirit I’m sure we will get there.”
Everton boss David Moyes was delighted with the point and the battling shown by his brave boys.
He said: “It was a really good game, there were no goals but it was end to end.
“We played good stuff at times and had to defend well at times.
“It was never going to be easy.
“I don’t know what the point does for us but I’m not too despondent — even though I wanted to win it.
“We have got a bit fortunate with a couple of bits of defending.”
