Eagles striker set to undergo arthroscopic surgery in the coming daysSuper Eagles striker Emmanuel Emenike will undergo an arthroscopic surgery in the coming days on his knee ligament after he damaged his meniscus lateral ligament on his return from a two month injury layoff in Spatak Moscow's 2-0 win over Anzhi Makhachkala on Sunday.
According to team doctor Michael Vartapetova, the AFCON top scorer who suffered a muscle tear in the semi-final match against Mali at the just concluded African Nations Cup which the Eagles triumphed is expected to be out for a long period.
"In the near future Emenike operation will be made. Recovery times are not announced." he stated.
Emenike who has been cleared of match fixing allegations during his time with Karabukspor of Turkey is expected to miss the Eagles 2014 World Cup qualifiers against Kenya and Namibia in June and the Confederations Cup as well. ------------------ Complete Sports
