KESHI: HOW OSAZE CAN GET EAGLES RECALL

Osaze Odemwingie would continue to be overlooked by the technical crew of the Super Eagles until he changes his attitude to the national team, head coach Stephen Keshi has said.

Fielding questions with the media in Abuja yesterday, Keshi said that Odemwingie is such a good player but with attitude problems, stating he would not recall the West Bromwich Albion striker until he is reformed.

"Osaze is the kind of player I want in the Eagles but he has to be ready to work with the team," Keshi said. "He is such a good player but he has to change his attitude and be a team player to get recalled.

"For now, I would continue to overlook Osaze until he mellows and falls in line. He can still be invited in the future if he shows remorse and readiness to play for his country."

On the injured 2013 Africa Cup of Nations top scorer Emmanuel Emenike, Keshi said he has not been able to speak with the striker recently but assured that Emenike has cemented his place in the Eagles with his commitment and fighting spirit in South Africa.

Keshi also debunked insinuations that the NFF queried his list of invitees for the match, pointing out that he sent his list to the secretariat for release to the public. ----------- Complete Sports
