Solskjaer wants Cardiff to give Spurs another Euro hangover

Tim Sherwood`s Spurs reached the last 16 of the Europa League on Thursday with a dramatic 3-2 aggregate win over Ukrainian side Dnipro.
Yet Tottenham have dropped 17 points in the Premier League on the back of their European excursions this term.
And Cardiff manager Solskjaer hopes his relegation-threatened side can be the latest team to give the north Londoners a European hangover.
"You can look at their results after a Thursday game. That`s been proven scientifically, we can take heart from that," Solskjaer said.
"I was at the Spurs game. They impressed me. They had high energy and were pressing, but maybe they won`t have that energy on Sunday.
"We are one of the fittest teams in the Premier League. We have to take that positive into the game."
Cardiff head to White Hart Lane amid more outspoken comments from controversial Malaysian owner Vincent Tan, who has warned the club`s supporters that he will not change the kit colour back to blue from red.
Tan also insisted he is taking a more hands-on approach at the Bluebirds, but former Manchester United striker Solskjaer claims the headlines will not affect his players.
"They change nothing for this game," Solskjaer said.
"I manage the club within my resources. He is saying we have a plan. Everything is in a structure, there`s no ifs and buts.
"He knows everything I`ve done. I deal with football matters. He is very willing to invest, but wants to know the ins and outs.
"It has to be transparent, but the football decisions are mine. I`m not a person who wants a safe life. I`m in a results business."
Cardiff are 19th in the table, three points from safety, following the humiliating 4-0 home defeat against Hull last weekend.
But, with 11 games left to go, Solskjaer insists he can still help the Welsh club avoid a quick return to the Championship.
"We`ve trained well. When you get disappointing results you want to regroup, correct mistakes, work hard and get a response and I have this week," Solskjaer added.
Tottenham manager Sherwood, buoyed by their European exploits, wants his fifth-placed side to get back to winning ways following the disappointing 1-0 defeat to Norwich last Sunday.
Tottenham are six points behind fourth placed Liverpool in the race to qualify for the Champions League and can ill-afford another slip.
"It is a big platform for us. On the back of a poor game at Norwich we should be bouncing into the game against Cardiff," Sherwood said.
"You are only as good as your last game and on Thursday we were very good.
"It will be a tough game. Cardiff are fighting for their lives and are bottom of the league.
"They have some maverick players who on their day can win games so we will be cautious of them but buoyed at the same time by the performance against Dnipro. We should win that game."
Brazil midfielder Sandro is in line to make his first league appearance under Sherwood having started against Dnipro following a calf injury.
