Puyol uncertain for Malaga match

Barcelona: Barcelona captain Carles Puyol is doubtful for Sunday`s Liga tie against Malaga at the Nou Camp as he struggles to shake off a bruised left leg, the Spanish champions announced on Thursday.

"The exams carried out on Thursday confirmed bruising in the left leg," the Catalan club revealed in a statement.

"The progress of Puyol will determine whether he will be available for the next match for Tata Martino`s team". continued the statement.

The veteran defender came off injured in the 57th minute of last weekend`s 1-1 draw against Levante following a collision with David Barral.
