Netherlands to play Wales in friendly

The Netherlands will tackle Wales in a friendly match in Amsterdam in June, the Football Association of Wales revealed on Tuesday.

Louis van Gaal`s Dutch side will use the fixture, scheduled to be played at the Amsterdam Arena on June 4, as part of their preparations for the World Cup in Brazil.

The Netherlands have been drawn alongside Chile, Australia and reigning world and European champions Spain at the World Cup, which begins on June 12.

Wales, who have not qualified for the World Cup, and Holland last met in a friendly game in Rotterdam prior to the 2008 European Championship, with the hosts winning 2-0.
