Manchester United set target of TEN wins in a row by demanding Patrice Evra
Inconsistent champions need a string of victories "even if we do it in a bad way or an ugly way. We don’t have any choice"
Patrice Evra has demanded a ‘Perfect 10’ from Manchester United to get their season going.
Champions United have won three games in a row after making a difficult start to life under new manager David Moyes, following Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement at the end of last season.
Those victories - against Real Sociedad in the Champions League, over Stoke in the Premier League and against Norwich in the Capital One Cup mean Moyes’ side are now unbeaten in six matches.
They will be looking for a fourth straight win when they visit Fulham on Saturday.
But left-back Evra claims United cannot think they are back to their best until they have recorded TEN victories on the spin.
“The problem is not that we are doing badly, it is because we are not doing things well enough,” said the Frenchman. “We’ve lost our consistency and we need to find it really quickly if want to win every trophy.
“We can’t win one game and draw the next one, or lose it. Now, every game is important.
“We [do] want to win two or three games in a row but it is when we win 10 games in a row that I will say Manchester United are back in business.
"At the moment, we’re not.”
Evra said he trusts former Everton boss Moyes and his coaching staff to ensure that United will challenge for trophies this season.
“The training sessions are very good,” added the 32-year-old. “The staff are very good.
“I’m not lying to people when I say we are doing the right things. I trust what we are doing and what the new manager has set up. It’s just the results that are missing.
“We have to make sure we win games - even if we do it in a bad way or an ugly way.
“We need to win those 10 games. We don’t have any choice.
"After that, we can play the beautiful football.”
