Nnamdi Oduamadi still optimistic of facing Malawi after flight hitch

The on-loan player from AC Milan to Genoa is pleased to have been asked to serve his nation
Nnamdi Oduamadi has said he will will not allow the flight hitch that kept him from getting to Calabar on Wednesday deter him from giving his best to the Super Eagles against Malawi on Saturday.
He told Goal, “First I have to say that I am grateful for life and for God’s protection over my life.
“This [flight turbulence] is something that some people did not survive but I'm grateful that I am here and that will spur me on to give my best for the Super Eagles on Saturday.
“I have been in touch with coach Stephen Keshi,” he revealed.
“And I have been assured that my chances of playing against Malawi on Saturday are still very bright.
“By God’s grace, I will be in Calabar [on Thursady] and then we will see how it goes,” he concluded.
Almost all the players invited for the Group F qualifier against Malawi have now arrived except for Academica’s John Ogu, who is expected also on Thursday morning. ---------------- goal.com
