David Moyes has been hit with a double transfer headache.
Chelsea are in pole position to sign Wayne Rooney and now Valencia are chasing another Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez.
But
while United insist Rooney is going nowhere, Chelsea believe they must
simply wait for David Moyes to find a replacement before a deal is done.
Valencia are looking at replacements for Tottenham target Roberto Soldado and Hernandez is top of their hit-list as the Mexican striker wants more regular opportunities as a first choice.
United
will try to convince Hernandez to stay but Valencia might appeal as it
would give him more games and the Spanish club want to do a cut-price
deal after agreeing a £25million deal with Spurs for Soldado. Target: Espanyol are keen to take Angelo Henriquez on loan
PA
Espanyol are trying to sign United prospect Angelo Henriquez on a season-long loan.
Chilean forward Henriquez, 19, spent the end of last season at Wigan and United are ready to farm him out again.
Espanyol have offered to pay all of his salary and hope to take him on a lengthy loan.
