Robben: The pressure is on Dortmund

The Dutchman does not believe Bayern will be affected by expectation when they take on BVB in the Champions League final this month
Arjen Robben believes that the pressure is on Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League final as they have not won anything yet this term while Bayern Munich have already wrapped up the Bundesliga title.

The Bavarians are favourites to emerge victorious at Wembley on May 25 following their impressive 7-0 aggregate win over Barcelona in the semi-finals and the Dutchman thinks BVB will feel even more pressure following their disappointing domestic campaign.

"We are not thinking about any negative scenarios. I believe that Dortmund are under even more pressure than Bayern to win the final," he was quoted as saying by Bild.

"We dethroned them as Bundesliga champions. They will end the season with empty hands if they lose the Champions League final."

Robben then went on to discuss BVB goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller's performance in their semi-final tie against Real Madrid and insisted that Bayern's attacker will find a way to beat the 32-year-old.

"Roman obviously deserves a lot of praise. But we should not forget that the Madrid strikers didn't make the right choice more than once. You must score at least once when you have three one-on-ones.

"We have to be more clever than Madrid. We know how to score against him. We scored four goals in our last three games against him, so we know how to beat him."

Robben netted the winner in Bayern's 1-0 DFB-Pokal win over Dortmund earlier this season. --------------- goal.com
