OBOABONA REVEALS EURO MOVE AFTER CONFED. CUP

Super Eagles defender, Godfrey Oboabona has sensationally disclosed he will sign for an undisclosed European club after the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup in Brazil next month.

There has been much speculation about the Sunshine Stars’ defender’s future after his head-line grabbing performance at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations won by the Super Eagles.

But the strong defender has spoken of his plans to finally take his career to Europe even as he could not reveal the identity of the club or the country.

“I’ve always believed there’s time for everything so I’m not in a hurry to play in Europe. But I want to say that after the Confederations Cup, I’ll finally say goodbye to the domestic league and sign for a European club”, Oboabona said.

Oboabona who helped Sunshine Stars reach the 2012 CAF Champions League semi final is currently with the Super

Eagles at their Ulrich Hotel camp, Germany, preparing for the May 31 international friendly game with Mexico in Houston, USA, as well as the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying games against Kenya and Namibia next month.

The Super Eagles will also participate in the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup in Brazil slated for May 15-30 with the Nigerian team logged in pool B alongside Spain, Uruguay and Tahiti. ----------------------- Complete Sports
