DAVID BECKHAM was at the centre of a bust-up in Saint-Etienne last night — 15 years after his World Cup red card there.
The former England star was involved in two angry confrontations at the final whistle after Paris Saint-Germain’s 2-2 draw at the Geoffrey Guichard stadium.Becks, making his first start for his new French club, clashed with home striker Brandao and then with ref Antony Gautier.
The former Manchester United star was furious with Brandao, who had stamped on Thiago Silva’s shin in the build-up to Saint-Etienne’s equaliser.
Brandao tapped Beckham on the shoulder and then prodded him on the cheek with his finger.
Beckham, 37, swore at the Brazilian and the pair grabbed each other by the face before they were separated by team-mates.
Midfielder Becks, who signed for PSG in January, then joined team-mate Zlatan Ibrahimovic in a tirade at Gautier before leaving the pitch.
PSG had raced into a two-goal lead after just 19 minutes through Javier Pastore and Ibrahimovic.
Saint-Etienne hit back thanks to an Alex own goal and an equaliser from Francois Clerc.
Beckham was shown a red card at the same stadium during the 1998 World Cup when he kicked Argentina’s Diego Simeone during a last-16 clash.
England’s eventual loss on penalties was widely blamed on Beckham.
