West Bromwich Albion 1-1 Hull City: Late Vydra equaliser earns managerless Baggies a point

He nearly fired Watford to the Premier League last season, and his first top-flight goal in England turned out decisive

Substitute Matej Vydra rescued a point for West Brom caretaker Keith Downing in his first game in charge at The Hawthorns.
On-loan Tottenham midfielder Jake Livermore had given the Tigers the lead from a brilliant, sweeping counter attack in the first half, but Vydra's first goal since a summer loan switch from Udinese was enough to grab the Baggies a point.
The hosts had been booed off at half-time after a rather uninspiring first period in which they had just two attempts on goal.
To compound things for the home side, ten minutes earlier Danny Graham's precise pass had found Livermore unmarked to cap off a move that had spanned the length of the pitch to put Steve Bruce's men in front.
But West Brom rallied, dominating the second half as they threw on three attackers in search of an equaliser.
Eventually it came as two of those replacements combined, and Zoltan Gera's pass was slotted home by young Czech Vydra, who netted his first Premier League goal.
