WARRI WOLVES RELEASE MBA FOR N15m

WARRI WOLVES RELEASE MBA FOR N15m

By Richard jideaka

Warri Wolves FC has finally bowed to appeals from various stakeholders, to save the career of Nigeria midfielder, Sunday Mba by releasing him to Enugu Rangers FC for an undisclosed fee, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

Though the transfer fee was not officially disclosed, Completesportsnigeria.com findings however reveal that Warri Wolves agreed to sell Mba for N15 milion(about $94.876.65), with add-ons and other clauses attached.

Chairman of the Delta State Sports Commission, Mr. Pinnick Amaju reveals that Mba has been released on compassionate ground, and in the interest of Nigeria the player represents.

Amaju further hints Completesportsnigeria.com that Wolves FC released Mba provisionally to go to Rangers after both parties agreed on a fee which must be paid before the Nigeria international can be allowed to play in the domestic league with other add-ons.

According to Amaju who doubles as the chairman of Delta State FA, they have agreed transfer terms with Rangers after a marathon meeting initiated by NFF Tuesday in Abuja, adding that Mba can only play locally for Rangers if they pay up the agreed fee.

"We don't want to be seen as a clog in the wheel of progress of Rangers FC or Mba," Amaju states. "That is why we allowed him to go and play the African Champions League return leg against the Angolan champions in Luanda this weekend.

"Rangers will pay the agreed fee and Warri Wolves will be entitled to 60 percent of further transfer proceeds of Mba to any foreign club. He can play the league for them if Rangers pay and agree to the clause which gives us 60 per cent ownership right for a period.

"Mba has not showed gratitude for all we(Warri Wolves) did for him. So he can go. We don't need him, but we wanted things done the right way.

"Enugu Rangers deserved punishment by the NFF, for the way they went about the transfer. We have allowed things to go because of the respect we have for the NFF president Aminu Maigari who interceded," Mr Amaju states. --------------------- Complete Sports
