Dynamo Kiev coach Oleg Blokhin has backed Nigeria striker Brown Ideye to shoot down Metalist Kharkiv in Saturday's must win game in the Ukrainian League and help nick the final Champions League spot, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Dynamo Kiev are currently tied on the same point with Metalist but with a superior goal difference and Blokhin believes the Super Eagles striker who has been linked with amove to the EPL in the summer is capable of leading the club to Europe next term.
"The team is now in good shape and I think Ideye is key if we must beat Metalist," the former Ukrainian national team coach states.
"Other players are there that can equally do the job, but he (Ideye) in is good run of form," Blokhin informs journalists.
Dynamo Kiev were defeated 3-1 in the reverse fixture last year but Blokhin is optimistic of his team's chances. In their last seven meetings the Miners have won four and drawn two games.
"We know what we need to do and we will go for it," he concludes.
Meanwhile, the club Vice President of Metalist Kharkiv has promised his players special incentives if they win Saturday's encounter.
"In case of victory, they will not only make a step towards the Champions League, but also receive the highest award of the season" Constantine Brewers was quoted.
"I think that all the clubs in the top four(top three - exactly) are motivating their players to finish in the highest position but ours would be will be an additional factor," Brewers said in an interview. ------------------------------- Complete Sports
