The Super Eagles goalkeeper has started his stint
as Lille number one in good light with a clean sheet and has earned
the praise of his club's manager
After Vincent Enyeama led his team to a 1-0 victory over Lorient on Saturday, Lille coach Rene Girard has come out to commend the goalkeeper.Enyeama, who was on loan last season at Macabbi Tel Aviv, was just instituted as the number one for the former French champions and he started his tenure with a clean sheet though next weekend he will be away to Reims.
"Regarding Vincent Enyeama, he only had two stops to make and he did both very well. This is the mark of great goalkeepers," Girard told reporters after the game.
Enyeama made a double save in the 49th minute from Yann Jouffre who shot from outside the box and then he saved directly from Vincent Aboubakar.
His third save was in the 78th minute off a header by Kévin Monnet-Paquet. He also claimed two crosses.
He was given a rating of 7.7, the second highest of all the 22 players. "Personally, I feel comfortable in that area,” Girard added - referring to his confidence in his goalkeeper. -------------------- goal.com
