Victor Moses and Kalu Uche to miss Nigeria’s World Cup and Confederations Cup campaign

Eagles due to persistent injury concerns and have given the coaching
crew cause for concern with the key matches coming up in a few weeks
Forwards Victor Moses and Kalu Uche are out of Nigeria’s
June World Cup qualifying matches and the Confederations Cup as well as
the international friendly match against Mexico due to injuries.In a message sent to the team’s camp in Germany on Monday, Uche claimed to have been playing with injury in the Turkish league for Kasimpasaspor. It is Uche’s first invitation to the national team since 2011.
“He wants to rest on the advice of his club doctor, he will be taking advantage of the off season to undergo treatment,” Eagles Team Coordinator, Emmanuel Attah disclosed from Germany on Monday.
“Moses on the other hand according to a message from his club, will be out in order to treat his recurring injury and won't be fit on time to be part of Nigeria’s World Cup qualifying and Confederations Cup campaign.
“He will however be with the Chelsea team during the pre-season training in the USA so as to be monitored closely by the Chelsea Doctor. He will however not participate in the Chelsea training program,” Attah disclosed.
Coach Stephen Keshi is not happy with this last minute information from the players, considering the fact that they played for their respective clubs throughout the season up till the last game, he however said there is no cause for alarm, as he has players that will deliver the World Cup ticket and also make Nigerians proud in the Confederations Cup. --------------------------- goal.com
